What is the best way to make an appointment?
I realize many people would prefer to email me & I do respond to emails within 24-hours; however, before I can make an appointment, I will need some information from you to ensure that I can address your concerns appropriately. For this reason, you will get an appointment set-up faster if you call me at 909-287-3624.
What is your schedule?
I see clients Monday through Thursday beginning at 10:00 am, with my last appointment of the evening at 6:30 pm.
Where are you located?
My office is located in Brea, just West of the Brea Mall.
How often would we be meeting?
Initially, I recommend we meet weekly to address the concerns that bring you to counseling, so you can feel some relief more quickly. Once we feel you have a good footing, we can explore a schedule that best meets your needs. If you are dealing with severe crises, additional sessions might be necessary to provide you support and guidance until you can better cope with the crisis.
How many sessions will I need?
Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee how long your counseling will go. It will really depend on your presenting concerns, how long the problems have persisted, and how willing you are to do the work. Many clients report feeling some relief within several sessions and many clients complete their counseling within 8 - 20 sessions. I can appreciate counseling can seem expensive, but your happiness is worth so much more.
Do you accept insurance?
The only insurance panel I am contracted with is CIGNA. If you belong to another panel, check with them to see if you are eligible for out-of-network benefits. I will be happy to provide you with paperwork that you can submit for reimbursement if you qualify. I have chosen not to join insurance panels in general to protect your confidentiality & maintain the integrity of your therapy goals. What are your fees?
Generally, my fees are as follows:
If we find longer sessions are necessary, I can prorate accordingly.
What are your payment options?
Payment is due at the time of session. I accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and Debit Cards.
Will paying out of pocket guarantee my confidentiality?
Generally, when you choose to pay out of pocket, your sessions have a higher level of confidentiality because I don't have to report your information to insurance companies or extraneous 3rd parties. However, I am required by State law to break confidentiality if you tell me you're a danger to yourself, a danger to others, or if I hear about abuse or neglect of minors, the elderly, or dependent adults.
